She also welcomed two new members, Mrs M Harland and Mrs S Harland.
Apologies were taken. Mrs B Piggott, secretary, gave out birthday cards to four members this month.
Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.
Matters arising were discussed, one being the dominoes drive to be held on 22 February at 7.30pm in the Old School, a pie and peas supper will be provided, cost £2.50 with proceeds for WI funds.
After business was concluded Mrs Prudom welcomed Debbie Gillander, guest speaker. Her talk entitled Propa Gansey was informative and amusing. Thanks were given to Debbie on behalf of members by Mrs L Johnson.
The competition for a collage in blue was won by Ruth Maltby, second Lou Johnson, third Ann Sutcliffe. The raffle was won by Jean Clennan.
Next month's meeting is on Monday 8 February in the Old School at 7pm. Visitors welcome. Guest speaker is Mr R Brindley who will give an illustrated talk entitled My Inspiration. The competition is for four rock buns.
