PRESIDENT Mrs C Prudom started the meeting by welcoming members and visitors.
Apologies were noted, there was only one birthday this month, a card and best wishes were given.
Mrs B Piggott read the minutes from the last meeting and they were approved.
The newsletter was read and discussed. A delegate to attend the autumn c
ouncil meeting at Easingwold on 10 October is to be arranged. The group rally is to be held on 22 October at Staithes Memorial Hall at 7pm, a faith supper will be provided.
Supper Club on 19 October was discussed. Mrs J Flewker-Barker is going to arrange the venue, members will be informed at the meeting on 12 October.
Mrs Prudom welcomed the guest for the evening, Ann Gullon, who gave a demonstration of flower arranging. The arrangements were raffled off at the end of the evening. Mrs P Turner thanked Mrs Gullon for her lovely creative flower arrangements.
The competition for a bookmark was: 1 Mrs L Johnson, 2 Mrs A Burnside, 3 Mrs A Sutcliffe.
The October meeting is to be held in the Old School on 12 October at 7pm and will be the AGM. There will be no speaker, it will be a members' night with a faith supper. The competition is for an autumn table arrangement.
