FOURTEEN members enjoyed watching Ken and Kristel Smith as they demonstrated the making of a flourless chocolate cake.
Later all enjoyed eating the cake served with cream and a cup of tea.
During the business of the meeting names were taken for the federation carol service at York Minster and for the Endeavour Group carol service at Hinderwell Methodist Church. Members made arrangements for the Christmas lunch to be held at the Fox and Hounds at Dalehouse.
Seven members will attend the festive dominoes drive organised by Hinderwell WI.
Margaret Musgrave read out the programme for 2010 and Veronica Foster gave the report of the group annual meeting.
The winner of the competition, three mincepies, was Margaret Musgrave.
The evening ended with two short quizzes, every member a winner.
