THE October meeting of Ugthorpe WI was held in the church hall and after the singing of Jerusalem, was presided over by Mrs B Rutter, Mrs J Trott read the WI creed and Mrs M Gallon last month's minutes.
Next year's subs will be £29.50.
The group carol concert is in the Robinson Institute on Friday 4 December, Mrs F Cornforth is to do a Christmas reading for Ugthorpe.
Shoe boxes for children in Romania had been taken to the meeting.
2010 diaries and calendars were given out and menus for the Christmas dinner at The Stables on 14 December, 12pm for 12.30pm.
Next month is the AGM and names for the committee were circulated.
Graeme Aldous was then introduced and spoke and showed a film Forgotten Film of Forgotten Roads. Mrs B Brown gave the vote of thanks. In the competition for a mug Mrs J Hodgson gained 10 points.
