HINDERWELL Sports and Youth Gala Day is on Sunday 20 July at the sports field. Many attractions including car boots and craft stalls. Pitches at £5, contact Mike on 841423.
HINDERWELL WI meets on Monday 14 July in the village hall at 7pm. There will be a talk by Sadie, The Bra Lady. The competition will be for a design for a CD cover.
ACTIVITIES in the village hall now include: Monday, Bridge Club 7-9pm, beginners to experts welcome, tuition given (£1.50); Tuesday, badminton 6-9pm, please book a court (£1.50 per person); Wednesday, Drop-in IT 1.30-3.30pm (free); Exercise to music 1.45-3pm (£1.50); 7-9pm indoor bowls, beginners welcome (£1.50); Thursday, 10am-12.30pm craft class (£1.50). Main hall £10 per hour, meeting rooms £4 per hour (including kitchen) plus further 15% concession for regular groups.

HINDERWELL Youth Club is held at the cricket pavilion for 11-18 year olds on Mondays 7-8.30pm and Thursdays 6.30-8.30pm.
THE new Hinderwell branch of Whitby and District Credit Union is now open for business. The credit union is run by members for members. It offers a simple and safe way to save and can provide low interest loans. To find out more, call in at St Hilda's Old School any Tuesday between noon and 12.30pm.
