Staithes Ath 1
Lingdale Tavern 2
Staithes went into this game with confidence following last week's cup win.
A strong cross-wind made the early stages scrappy.
Staithes took the lead when a Wilson throw-in went unchallenged and James Ward scored from the edge of the box.
Tavern pushed on and a good exchange of passes put Breckon through but, with the keeper beaten, his effort hit the base of the post.
In the second half, Breckon took a quick free-kick for Tavern but keeper Sanders scrambled the ball away.
Breckon finally found the target when a long throw from Sivills was flicked on for him to volley from close range.
Libbey and Theaker worked hard in the Staithes defence but some good work by Dass saw him find Scott unmarked to tap the ball home.
Staithes pushed hard for the equaliser but failed to break through the Tavern back line.
